Who we are

50 Degrees was founded in 2010, by Andy Bowie, who described it at the time as ‘a bit of stop gap’.

10 years down the line, it had become clear that this stop gap had turned into something much bigger… an organisation that was consistently producing successful tenders for an international market, securing £billions per year for its clients.

What was the plan for the next ten years? Andy asked himself a basic question, ‘what was the thing he valued the most?’ The answer was that the most important thing was working with a team of great people, who work together with a real sense of purpose, in an environment where they can flourish and have some fun.

Andy shared his vision with long-term collaborator, Emily Bagley-Duncan, over a few Zoom calls (it was 2020 after all) and the idea for a new 50 Degrees formed. Emily and Andy agreed to become partners, to change the structure of the organisation and scale up and recruit more talented people.

50 Degrees now comprises 30+ highly skilled and experienced consultants bringing expertise across the public services sector. It’s growth means it is continually looking for new talented consultants to work with, as it expands into new markets and builds relationships with new clients

In the last 12-months, 50 Degrees has secured £1.5bn for its clients.
