David is an experienced and respected public services expert who has worked in a variety of operational and strategic development roles across the employment, skills, justice, health, economic development and regeneration sectors. An economist specialising in local labour market analysis and research, David has worked in senior roles within central and local government. This includes working as a senior manager in DWP responsible for policy design, procurement, and the management of national large-scale programmes supporting economically inactive people back to work.

David is exceptionally well connected with DWP and the wider welfare to work market having forged contacts over his 20+ years’ career. At 50 Degrees, David specialises in providing strategic consultancy support to both private and public sector clients looking to grow their business within the skills, employability and justice markets.​

David was involved in two of the industry’s largest acquisitions and has led on due diligence work for a large Australian to UK provider for 50 Degrees.
