Restart - it went pretty well
As it’s a new 50 Degrees, we thought we’d try a slightly different tack and talk about ourselves positively and even celebrate a couple of our recent successes. Historically we’ve always been a bit reluctant to give ourselves a pat on the back, as to be honest by the time a bid result is announced we’re usually completely focused on the next challenge. Now we’re expanding our team, however, we want to get into the habit of ensuring their hard work gets recognised because we do love winning (success is one of our values after all). And yes, maybe we realise there’s some value in showing people that we know what we’re doing. But don’t worry, we’re not about to turn into a bunch of self-publicists. We still believe in letting our work do the talking.
Here goes then.
We worked with a number of sector leading organisations (both prime and subcontractor) during the recent Restart tender process, providing focused support across solution development, bid writing, bid management and mobilisation. We should say at this point that our partners over at 4OC played a key role in the development of the mobilisation strategy and operational solutioning, and will continue to provide dedicated support as our clients focus on contract implementation. Now, where were we? Over an intensive couple of months we worked hand in glove with our clients' business development teams and subject matter experts. Through this integration (a lot of Teams meetings!) we were able to share ideas, problem solve, innovate and help our clients to articulate and present their solution in the most effective way possible.
We’re pleased to report that our clients secured all of the contracts (prime and subcontractor) that they bid for, respectively, covering three contact package areas with total contract values in excess of £850m.
This result is, of course, a testament to our clients’ reputation, expertise and, putting it bluntly, the bloody hard work and commitment they put in to creating such high quality bids. But if we can enter ‘patting ourselves on the back’ territory for just a fleeting moment we can say the same about our 50 Degrees team who provided intensive support throughout the process.
Okay. Back patting over. That wasn’t too bad, was it?
