Better Growth.

This week I’ve been enjoying the beaches of Cornwall and, amongst the sandcastles and seagulls, have spent a bit of time thinking about what we do, what makes us different to our competitors, and the reasons clients enjoy working with us (we get a lot of repeat business!).

What better way is there to spend a holiday?

Anyway, during a beach-based telephone catch up with my business partner, Emily, I shared some of my thoughts and we talked it over a bit more. We came to the conclusion that we we don’t just deliver new business, contracts and revenue for our clients, but we balance that against ensuring they deliver on their social outcomes. This is particularly important to our clients, who are socially focused organisations that think as much about purpose as profit.

We then chatted about what other things make us who we are? We help clients to make tough choices about their markets, services and delivery model, and we enable them to push the envelope of their social value commitments and sustainability plans, as part of 21st century commissioning.

And, something that can be overlooked… we take great pride in the way we work with clients. We work collegiately and collaboratively with our clients to create the best possible product, and we have a little fun while we do it.

It then occurred to us that if we could come up with something that described that approach and purpose then we might have a new strapline for 50 Degrees (we’d previously never found anything that quite fitted). Drum roll please….

Better Growth.

We’re a collegiate organisation, so we shared our thinking with the 50 Degrees team. It’s safe to say that if they’d not liked it then I’d have said it was Emily’s choice of words… but, as they got behind it, I shall of course be claiming credit.

There you go then. We have a strapline.

And it’s on the website home page, so it must be official.
